The Trial. (The Town in the Jungle Part 3)

Reverend Eddie Yates Jackson was found in an Amazon Forrest in 2001, 2 years after the massacre.
As demanded by the United States,
he was transferred backed to Dallas Texas, his hometown.

He landed on a private runway with a bullet proof vest,
handcuff from the hands and legs.
Waddling to a private police car,
He wore a plain white t-shirt and jeans with dirt and grass stains.
His hair was grey and balding,
showing small bald spot.

His face was down after seeing news camera's,
his eyes were bloodshot and his bright blue eyes were slowly growing darker.
He got into a Black Van with black windows.
The Van was bulletproof,
The radio was on and the topic of discussion was

"Reverend Eddie Yates Jackson, the man responsible for the death of 900 of his followers, a third were children as young as 12 is arrested here in Dallas Texas after being found in an Amazon Forest in Brasil."

He was put in a holding cell,
on suicide watch.
For the next 24 hours,
All he did was sit, pace, eat, and use the restroom.

He stayed in this holding cell for a month before the trail began,
The trial was titled

"The people of the United States and the people of Colombia vs Eddie Yates Jackson"

Jackson's lawyer told him ahead of time that if found guilty,
Jackson would be on Death Row for 4 to 8 weeks.

The trial started on October 31, 2001 and ended on February 8th, 2002.

During the trial, they read from Jackson's journals and from his 95 Theses of lies that survive the fire of his little house on the hill.

His son, testified against him.
"He wanted me to kill my 6 and 2 year old daughters, they're 8 and 4 now and they are the happiest kids
in the world."

In his journals, he wrote about death and killing 10 years before the massacre happen.

"... and on that day I have to kill my wife and followers, I will try to make it as quick and painless"

That quote was written on July 4, 1993, 6 years before the massacre.

His last quote on his journal was this

"So the United States wants me back, over my followers dead body. Followers are replaceable but I'm not. They must die to make a statement. Because no matter what, they have to dance with the Grim Reaper. And I AM that Reaper. Just call me Jack the Reaper."

While that statement was being read, Eddie Yates Jackson put his head down on his hands,
he knew that he will die very soon.

On February 8th 2002, Reverend Eddie Yates Jackson was found guilty of the death of 900 of his followers, fraud, and kidnapping.

On March 29, 2002 - His birthday- he was sentence to death.

on May 24, 2002, He was sent to the gas chamber.

Reverend Eddie Yates Jackson last words were:

"I played Monopoly with life. But I had to do what I did, because those followers were as dumb as chickens. Easy to control, especially with guns. I am going to die today, fine, whatever. I'm 53 years old. I had a World War 2 veteran as a father and a school teacher for a mother. I have a older brother who is a police officer, and three younger sibling who all hate my guts. I will eliminate them though, because when I meet Satan, I will ask him to bring my poor excuse for a family with me. As for my only son, the one who testified against me, I hope he get's the Trotsky treatment in his Dallas hotel room. Because just because I'm dead, doesn't mean I wont have any followers."

Eddie Jackson died on 7:16 P.M. on May 24, 2002

the day after his death, his son, Eddie Yates Jackson II was found dead in his Hotel room with a knife in his head. He was 33 years old.

There was a note left on the door of the room that read

"God, Gold, Glory."
