The Criminal

Down at Olde Los Angeles,
lives The Criminal.
On the run for a week,
hoping for a the big break.
Hoping for The Big Score.

The Criminal stands near the train tracks near the Pacific Ocean,
reading a book full of poetry.
Suddenly looking up at the diamond-blue-sky,
thinking about how great it is to be free.

The Criminal pass through the tracks to walk on the sidewalk that leads to a bench,
a bench that has been deserted.

The Criminal dashes to the bench.

Once The Convict gets near the ocean,
she drops a single rose.
She lies on the sand,
looking at the sky that was now a dark-sky-blue.

Knowing she has to move on,
knowing her love is gone.

She couldn't lay on the yellow-orange sand anymore,
with a quick jump, The Criminal stands up.

The Convict started walking west,
she was looking for hope.

The Criminal walked for about 4 miles before she see's a small child,

"The child can not be more than 5-years-old" The Madam thought to herself.

The child had a black-olive ring around his right eye,
The Criminal got on her knee's and checked if the child had another injury.

Their was pink-red scratch mark on the left side of his neck.

"A-are you alright child?" The Convict asked with consider

The child shakes his head left to right,
without saying a word.

The Madam picked up the child and took him to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Knowing that if they noticed her, she could get locked up and have her freedom taken away,
but she knew that the child could die alone in the streets if she didn't get help.

She walked for 10 miles,
with the 5-year-old child on her right shoulder.
She get's to the station and drops him off,
with a note that reads,

"He looked like an abuse dog, I had to save him"

She walks west into the golden sunset,
looking for her next adventure.

Dedicated to my close friend.
